I have a Laravel chat application that use the Pusher websocket.

It was working well until yesterday I get this error when I try to use the chat application.

“production.ERROR: cURL error 60: SSL: no alternative certificate subject name match”

I searched the internet and it seems like its a bug on the new curl release.

I went to the Laravel discord forum and the recommendation was to upgrade the curl to the “new fixed version” which can be done in two ways: manual version and laravel forge.

I did the manual way and issued the following command:

    apt-get install –only-upgrade curl

but I got these two errors:
E: Could not open lock file
E: Unable to acquire the dpkg frontend lock ,are you root?

I dont understand what this means so I am thinking maybe I could do it via Forge.

My question is how do I update the curl on my Ubuntu server via Laravel Forge? If there is not a way of doing it on forge how do I do it manuall?

The Ubuntu server was commisioned with Laravel Forge in the beginning.
